Twilight Australian Shepherds

  Twilight Aussies is a small kennel started in 1993.  We are located in Alexandria, Virginia about 2 miles from Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington.

  My dogs and I have competed in conformation, agility, obedience and herding.  We have also done therapy work at local nursing homes and worked with children to help them to get over their fear of dogs.   

   The two things we strive for most at Twilight is structure and temperament.  The best put together dog in the world can't make it - either in the show ring or real world - without a stable temperament.   When planning a breeding we look for combinations that will produce these  qualities in a healthy and happy puppy.     While it would be great if all Aussies could live on a farm doing what they were bred to do, the real world isn't like that.  We breed our dogs to live in the real world of traffic, noise, clamor and children.   

  Finally, we breed for beauty.  A beautiful dog is  candy for the eyes and who doesn't love dessert!!
